Deepak is a market and communications consultant and researcher, specializing in the ICT and Media domains. He carries around 24 years of experience, of which 12 years have been in the ICT domain.
He was earlier Associate Vice-President of Research at IDC India and headed the Client Computing, Peripherals, Telecommunications, Networking and Channel research practices there.
At IDC India, Deepak also successfully conceptualized and initiated the Channelyze program, and later actively participated in developing it into a multi-modal platform for the ICT channel partner community in India. He was also part of the core team that developed and launched the Growth Ink research-and-advisory initiative at the organization.
Prior to IDC India, he worked with Reuters, Voice&Data and Dataquest in editorial, analysis and other associated fields.
He has been a regular speaker at various industry events, such as IDC Directions and Channelyze, and continues to be frequently quoted in the national media.
He writes columns and articles for well-known technology publications and newspapers. His weekly column ConsumerScope is focused on the user-facing aspects of ICT and is published in Deccan Chronicle and Asian Age. He has also written for IT Next and e-Gov magazine, among others.
